Lip blush typically lasts between 2–3 years. A color boost session every 12–18 months is recommended to keep the shade vibrant.

A topical numbing agent is applied before and during the treatment, so most clients experience minimal discomfort. Sensitivity varies from person to person.

Healing takes about 7–10 days. Initially, the color may appear bold, then lighten as the lips heal. Mild dryness or flaking is normal. The final healed color will look soft and natural.

There’s no major downtime, but your lips will go through a short healing phase where they may flake or peel. Most clients return to normal activities straight away, but it’s best to avoid heavy exercise, swimming, and makeup on the lips until fully healed.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications 24 hours before your treatment. If you’re prone to cold sores, taking a preventative antiviral medication beforehand is recommended to reduce the risk of a breakout.

Most people are good candidates, but certain conditions (such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, active cold sores, or certain medical conditions) may mean you need to postpone treatment. A consultation is always carried out beforehand to ensure suitability.
